Senior Pastor 
Pastor David and Charity Comer and their three sons (Braxton, Tristen & Logan) came to Hammond New Harvest in November of 2005. In moving to the northwest part of the state, in a way, it was a move back home as Pastor Dave had graduated from Crown Point High School in Crown Point, Indiana in 1993. It was during his high school years that he received the call of God on his life to preach the gospel. His ministry began as he preached his first messages in nursing homes and in youth services.
After graduating from CPHS he attended Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota. He attended TBC for one year and then enrolled in the Church of God Ministerial Internship Program in 1994. Shortly after finishing the MIP, while living and working in Vincennes, Indiana, he met his future wife, Charity. They were married on November 23, 1996 in Vincennes, had their first son, Braxton, and moved to Sandpoint, Idaho to begin evangelizing all before they celebrated their first anniversary.
Since that time they have had the wonderful opportunities to not only evangelize in the states of Indiana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon, but they have served as Associate Pastors (Family Life Center CoG in Auburn, WA) and Senior Pastors (Harvest Center CoG, Anacortes, WA & Austin Community CoG, Austin, Indiana).
Over the past 8 ½-9 years God has been so wonderful in so many ways: In their marriage, their family and their ministry.
In considering all that God has done there is still an air of excitement in what He is going to do. They are looking forward to what God has in store for them, the members of Hammond New Harvest and Northwest Indiana.
Asscociate Pastor
James & Carly have served youth ministry from the beginning of 2001 thru 2008 and are currently serving as the Associate Pastors. Recently they have acquired their Exhorters license in the Church of God as of January 2008. God has called them to become senior pastors when He so chooses to open that door of ministry for them.
God has blessed them with two beautiful daughters. God has given them a vision and heart to reach out to the community that surrounds them in Hammond, IN. with the love of Christ.
